Please Pray for Pisco, Peru
Lord-willing on Monday I’ll be heading to Pisco, a city four hours to the south of Lima. Here I will meet up with a group of twenty five adolescents from Ayacucho for a four day conference/missions trip. Half the group is not Christian. They are starting a new church in an area where there is no other protestant church. The city’s catholic church is not nearby. I will be teaching on evangelism for four hours for three days. I am dreadfully scared and unprepared. Lord, please forgive me. I don’t know how I will be able teach for such long periods of time. The first day I plan on basically given Ray Comfort’s message called “Hell’s Best Kept Secret”. Please pray for me, the adolescents, and the people we will be sharing the gospel to that God would open up an effective door and reveal the mystery of Christ.

I will pray for you!! It is so exciting to hear about someone in Peru using Hell's Best Kept Secret. Just tonight I was listening to a man who has done mission work in Peru, his name is Paul Washer, have you heard of him? If you go to www.sermonaudio.com you can hear some of his very convicting messages, he has many of them in Spanish. We have been using Ray's teaching for the last 4 years. For 32 years my husband thought he was a Christian until he heard this message. We now have a team that goes onto the streets of downtown Houston (a city that probably a lot like Lima) and we preach on the street on Friday nights. We go then because the streets are full of people going to bars. The Lord has blessed our team by adding to it weekly. We usually have 15-20 people that drive about 45 minutes from different directions to preach. It is such an awesome thing to see. At times it is heartbreaking though when you see an unrepentant heart in those we speak to.

Two of our regular team members are from South America; one from Argentina, and one from Venezuela. We've also had a lady that's come who is from Brazil. We have a very international team. We are so thankful for all of our team members who speak Spanish, they are such a blessing and help!

If the Lord has opened that door, do not be afraid child of the All Mighty. Just remember at His promises. Ask and it shall be given to you. Open your mouth and He will fill it with words of wisdom and power. Just place yourself in His hands. Remember Moses on Exodus 4:11-12.
